    With their combined experience and varied skills, Joe and Candice Casey work alongside each other to form a versatile husband and wife team capable of providing the personalized, comprehensive services retirees and pre-retirees need to achieve financial independence.

    Away from work, the Caseys are active members of their church and assist in many community outreach programs. They have been married since 2002 and have two sons, Will and Ben.

    Joe Casey, RFC

    Co-Founder / Chief Financial Consultant

    Joe Casey is founder and president of Casey Wealth Consultants. Joe’s investment discipline is to help his clients protect their assets, take income and grow their nest egg in the most efficient way. Joe’s areas of focus include: Retirement Income Strategies for lifetime paychecks, Social Security Optimization to help clients get the most monthly benefits, Wealth Preservation to protect what clients have spent a lifetime accumulating, Comprehensive Wealth Management that is designed for low volatility avoiding the major shifts in the market, Tax Planning Strategies that reduce and/or eliminate taxes, Health Planning Strategies that helps protect assets from a Long Term Care event, and Legacy Planning Strategies to efficiently transfer assets to the next generation. Joe and his team have helped hundreds of individuals retire using fundamental principles through The Fast Track Retirement Process.

    After earning his theology degree from Valor Christian College, Joe went on to complete post-graduate work at Kaplan University where he earned a business degree. He is a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) with the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants which required coursework in a broad range of financial subjects. He is a licensed Insurance Professional and Investment Advisor Representative.

    Away from work, Joe is an active member of his local church and assists in many community outreach programs. In 2002, Joe married the love of his life Candice Casey and together they have two sons Will and Ben Casey. Joe & Candice work alongside each other providing the perfect husband and wife team. With their combined experience and varied skills, Joe and Candice Casey form a versatile team capable of providing the personalized, comprehensive, services retirees and pre-retirees need in order to achieve financial independence.

    Candice Casey

    Co-Founder / Operations Vice President

    Casey is co-founder of Casey Wealth Consultants and Vice President of Operations. As co-owner of CWC, Candice provides on-going leadership, organizational development, compliance oversight and office edticate.

    Candice works with clients to address their service needs and enhance client relationships. She has honed her skills through everyday communication with clients, confirming that their requests are met in a timely manner and mastering the group’s operations and procedures. She displays a strong commitment to service, always ensuring that clients are engaged, informed and treated with respect.

    Candice leads a specialized women’s group at CWC called “Leading Ladies,” which is an educationally and socially driven program designed to empower ladies within our business to take a leading role when it comes to their money.

    Candice attended Valor Christian College and achieved a degree in Christian education. She then furthered her education and acquired professional licensing through Kaplan University. Candice’s dedication to helping clients has led to a loyal, growing, clientele. Outside of work, she is mother to Will and Ben Casey and volunteers in their family’s local church. The joy of Candice’s life has been working with Joe living life together with one another and their community in Louisville.

    Mike Battaglia

    Financial Consultant

    Mike believes that proper planning today ensures a secure future tomorrow. He uses sound financial principles when advising his clients.  Mike’s approach is thorough, professional and tailored to the individual’s specific situation and concerns.

    Mike is from a small rural community in central Indiana. Growing up in this farming community has instilled in Mike the values that he lives by today: Honesty, Integrity, Hard Work, and Loyalty to Family and Friends. Mike has been in the financial services industry for 9 years. He is attended Indiana State University and studied business administration. He holds a degree from Valor Christian College in Pastoral Theology. Mike studied at Kaplan University to acquire his financial licenses and designations. Mike is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and is a licensed Insurance Professional. He is a husband to Jennifer, his wife of 24 years and has two beautiful daughters Kayla & Brittany. Kayla is married to Brandon and they have Mike’s grandson “Davis Michael”. Brittany is married to Adrian and they have Mike’s 2 granddaughters “Ava” and “Lylah”.

    Mike is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending his down time with his wife and family hiking, camping, and fishing. Mike is an active member of his local church and serves there by teaching adult leadership classes and directing outreach projects. He is also a board member of Wabash Valley Teen Challenge. Mike believes in giving back to the community and is a regular donor to: Disabled American Veterans, Salvation Army, Riley Children’s Hospital, Crisis Pregnancy Center, and The Make a Wish Foundation.

    Mercedes Eckert

    Marketing Director

    After graduating from Valor Christian College in 2009 with a degree in music & arts, Mercedes achieved her BA Degree at Indiana University Southeast. Mercedes has 5 years experience in management and marketing and has been with CWC since 2011. Her experience and passion for people are continually an asset to our clients and our company.

    Mercedes is a key part of our Casey Wealth Consultants team – and plays a vital role with our clientele. She helps plan & facilitate our public educational events as well as our client events. In addition to managing our events & calendar, Mercedes also helps provide up-to-date and educational information through our weekly e-newsletter, our bi-monthly print newsletter, and many other timely books and articles for our clients and prospective clients. She is a resource for our clients to make sure they know what events and services are available for them and their friends & families.

    Growing up in a large family in Indianapolis with parents who pastor, family has become a huge passion for Mercedes. She and her husband Daniel raise their 2 daughters, Eliada and Alexis, in the Louisville Metro area. Mercedes has been actively involved with many community organizations from Big Brothers Big Sisters to her local church.

    Chuck Whitlock

    Client Relations Consultant

    In January 2018, Chuck Whitlock joined Casey Wealth Consultants to provide consultation on strategic planning, client relations, marketing initiatives, and team development.

    Following graduation from the University of Iowa with a BA in general science and mathematics, Chuck was commissioned in the regular Army. For the next 9 years he flew helicopters, commanded small combat units, and managed personnel systems. Chuck left active duty in 1969 to begin a career in large hospital administration. His chosen specialty was Human Resource Management.

    In 1973 Chuck was recalled to active duty to serve on the staff of the Army Command and General Staff College where he was the Administrative Manager of the Worldwide Correspondence Study Program, serving more than 15,000 Officer students. Returning to the healthcare field in late 1975, Chuck continued as HR Executive for a large hospital system in South Carolina. Later, he was selected as one of only six Army Reserve Officers to attend the Army War College, where he graduated in 1979.

    Proceeding graduation from the Army War College, Chuck was asked to join the Executive Staff of St. Joseph’s Health System and relocated to Atlanta. He completed his MBA in 1985 from Brenau Professional College with a concentration in organization development and management of organizational change. In 1989, Chuck became President of two companies providing medical office renovation and staffing support for hospitals & physicians.

    After his promotion to Brigadier General in 1991, Chuck’s final military assignment was as Deputy Commander of the 81st Army Reserve Command, the largest reserve troop in the nation.

    Chuck’s first retirement after his last military assignment was short lived, and in 1996 he entered the world of financial services. Joining a consulting firm focusing on Insurance and Employee Benefits, Chuck helped to design, develop and implement a Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan for Physicians and Healthcare Executives employed by large hospital systems. During his time in financial services, Chuck became securities and insurance licensed to enable him to provide the best retirement planning advice and products to his clients.

    Back to retirement in 2002, and then a move to Louisville in 2013, Chuck and his lovely wife Ann soon became clients of Casey Wealth Consultants. Whether it was this country, major industries, the local church, or now – retirees of this region, the Whitlocks are an amazing duo who have poured their lives into serving. After his second stint of retirement from more than 42 highly successful years of executive leadership and business management, Chuck felt that the work that CWC is doing with retirees in our region was well worth getting back in the saddle…and we couldn’t be happier!

    Ashley Eastep

    Hospitality Coordinator

    Sooner born, Sooner bred right? Ashley was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. Before moving to Louisville with her family in 2017, Ashley attended college at The University of Oklahoma.

    While she continues her education at the University of Louisville, Ashley has found a home here on the team at Casey Wealth Consultants as of late 2017. Ashley is upbeat, kind, and warmhearted. She is the perfect face to welcome all of our clients and prospective clients into our office and our events. Ashley is organized, punctual, and her hard work-ethic is unmatched. The benefit of her addition to our team has already become evident, both to each of us at Casey Wealth Consultants, as well as clients she has assisted.

    Outside of working with Casey Wealth Consultants, Ashley loves spending time with her family, is passionate about dance, and regularly serves in her local church. Through both her sorority and her church, Ashley spends much of her free time volunteering. She has volunteered at charitable events benefiting the Arthritis Foundation and served the less fortunate in homeless shelters. Probably closest to her heart recently, Ashley served her great-grandmother and the other residents of the nursing home she resided in.
